Causer Honors Emporium Fire Department Volunteers

Members of the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department were recognized at their annual banquet recently, with Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) serving as guest speaker.

Representative Causer expressed his gratitude to all members for their dedicated contributions to community safety, stating, "I am honored to be here tonight to recognize the incredible commitment and sacrifice of the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department."

During the event, Causer presented citations from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to several members in appreciation of their milestone years of service. Among those recognized were Beverly Farren for 45 years of service, Captain Steve Banjor for 15 years, Deputy Chief Albert Aikens for 35 years, George Jones for 35 years, Terri Housler for 25 years, Captain Gary Olay for 35 years, Adam Johnson for 25 years, and Mike Singer for 15 years.

The ceremony highlighted the long-standing dedication and selfless efforts of these individuals in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. The event served as a poignant reminder of the invaluable service provided by volunteer firefighters who often risk their lives to protect others.
