Rep. Martin Causer and Bradford Mayor Tom Riel recently visited the Bradford City Fire Department to review new equipment purchased with a $100,000 state grant. The funding was secured through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, with Causer playing a key role in obtaining the grant.
The department used the funds to acquire a 2025 Ford F150 utility truck, which will help transport additional equipment and personnel as needed. In addition, the fire department purchased 4,200 feet of 1 ¾ inch attack hose, 11 nozzles, and a hose flow test kit. According to officials, this new hose and nozzle package will be installed on all of the department’s fire trucks.
Riel, Causer, Chief Brett Butler, and Deputy Chief Jeff Kloss were present during the equipment review.
