Dedication set for Kushequa Avenue Bridge as Vietnam Veterans Memorial

A ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. to dedicate the Kushequa Avenue Bridge over Kinzua Creek in Hamlin Township, McKean County, as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge.

State Representative Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) will be joined by Senator Cris Dush (R-25), John Moffett Jr.—the son of Vietnam veteran John Moffett Sr., who first proposed naming the bridge—Don Wenner, a friend of John Moffett Sr., and Alvin Loveless, director of McKean County Veterans Affairs.

According to event organizers, the bridge is being designated in honor of those who served during the Vietnam War. The dedication will take place near the Kushequa Union Church.
