Larry and Phyllis Hamilton were recognized at an open house marking their retirement from Hamilton’s Maple Farm in Ulysses after more than 45 years of work. The farm, which has been family-owned and operated for over 120 years, is known for its maple syrup production.

During the event, Representative Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) presented the Hamiltons with a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to honor their service. “Maple production will continue at the farm under the leadership of the next generation of Hamiltons, with Marshall and Deborah at the helm,” according to Rep. Causer.

The business will remain within the family as Marshall and Deborah take over operations.
