On Wednesday, March 19, former Elk Lake Junior Senior High School standout Layla Weaver’s current college team, the Niagara Purple Eagles, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Syracuse Orange.

The game took place at Skytop Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Orange this season.

The Purple Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 6:50 p.m. at Skytop Softball Stadium against Syracuse Orange.
