State Rep. Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford) will host a Game Commission Night on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Wellsboro Fire Company Annex in Wellsboro. The event will focus on predator species, with an emphasis on the Eastern coyote.

Doors for the event open at 5:30 p.m., and the main program runs from 6 to 8 p.m. A laser shot trailer, new to this year’s event, will be available for junior hunters aged 12-16 from 5 to 6 p.m.

“We always get great feedback on our Game Commission nights because they are so informative,” Owlett said. “I’m excited to host the event again this year, and especially to add the laser shot trailer for the benefit of our junior hunters. This truly is a great event for the entire family.”

The presentation will feature Thomas Keller, a furbearer biologist with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, who will discuss details about the Eastern coyote. Local hunter Austin Dunham will also speak, offering tips on hunting predators in the Northern Tier region.

A question-and-answer session is scheduled following the presentations.

Admission is free but requires registration for both attending and using the laser shot trailer. The trailer is limited to junior hunters only. Registration can be completed online at www.RepOwlett.com/events or by calling 570-724-1390.
