The Wyoming County Historical Society has received a $9,000 grant to assist with its daily operations and maintenance, according to an announcement from Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Wyoming). The funds are intended to help cover operating expenses such as fuel, insurance, and advertising for the facility.

Pickett emphasized the role of historical societies in local communities. “Historical societies are key to public education and to strengthening the bonds that hold our community together,” said Pickett. “This investment will help the Wyoming County Historical Society in continuing to operate and provide education to the public.”

The grant was awarded through the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission’s Cultural and Historical Support Grant Program, which provides general operating support for museums and official county historical societies.
