Rep. Clint Owlett announced on April 15 that he will host a Future Entrepreneur Summit focused on careers and business opportunities in the trades. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lambs Creek Events, located at 200 Gateway Drive in Mansfield.

The summit aims to bring together area students, new business owners, and individuals interested in learning more about building successful careers or businesses within the skilled trades sector.

Owlett will be joined by a panel of experts representing various local industries. Panelists include Scott Cummings of Cummings Lumber; Hasan Fazelbhoy of Cedar Mountain Springs; Josh Gehman of Gehman Iron; Rich Harris of Buttonwood Truck Center; Kurtis Martin of Black Creek Enterprises; Trevor Rawleigh of Iron Volt Contracting; Howard Wattles, a retired electrician; and Doug Wright of Wright’s Farm and Home Service Inc.

According to organizers, participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from experienced professionals about career paths and entrepreneurship within their respective fields.

The event is open to students as well as community members interested in exploring opportunities in the trades.
