Rep. Martin Causer met with members of the Otto-Eldred Future Farmers of America (FFA) program at the state Capitol during FFA’s State Legislative Leadership Conference this week.

The meeting provided an opportunity for students and Causer to discuss key issues such as agriculture, health care, and challenges faced by rural communities.

Causer was joined by Ryon Stone, Leah Burrows, Gabby Long, Ellie Bennett, Brooklynn Pearce, Emma Button, Danica Austin, and Brandon Witmer, who serves as agricultural science teacher and FFA advisor. The group engaged in what was described as a productive conversation about topics important to their district.

The event highlighted the ongoing engagement between local legislators and student organizations focused on agriculture. These interactions are seen as valuable for fostering understanding of both policy issues and community needs.
