Rep. Tina Pickett, a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, has recently highlighted local achievements and milestones in her district through a series of posts on social media.
On October 7, 2025, Rep. Pickett recognized the contributions of David and Nancy Keeler to local journalism, stating, “On Saturday, David and Nancy Keeler were honored on their retirement after many years of work on the Rocket Courier. The newspaper began as the Wyalusing Rocket in 1887. I presented a House citation to them and congratulated them on their well-earned retirement!”
The following day, October 8, 2025, Rep. Pickett announced improvements to public infrastructure in Nicholson, noting the collaboration that made the upgrades possible: “Recently, Main Street in Nicholson was upgraded to include two blocks of new, safer sidewalks and a blacktop parking lot. Many individuals and agencies came together to help make the town safer for pedestrians and other visitors who patronize local businesses.”
Later on October 8, 2025, Rep. Pickett also marked a significant anniversary for a local religious institution: “Please join me in congratulating the First Baptist Church of Factoryville on 175 years! It was a pleasure to present Pastor Ron Stock with a House citation to commemorate the church congregation on this milestone.”
