On Saturday, March 1, former Athens Area High School standout Caydence Macik’s current college team, the Mansfield Mountaineers, lost 4-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the UVA Wise Cavaliers.
The game took place at Bill Gatton Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Cavaliers this season.
The Mountaineers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m. at LU Softball Complex against Lincoln Lions.
