About 17.2 percent of the 529 degrees and certificates handed out by Mansfield University of Pennsylvania in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Mansfield conferred 56 bachelor's degrees and 18 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 37 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 36 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences and 34 bachelor's degrees in social work.

The university enrolled 1,629 students for 2017-18, including 1,597 in undergraduate programs and 32 in graduate programs.
