The Mounties are coming off a successful indoor season that saw multiple record breakers and young athletes rise up record boards. Mansfield returns the 2021 PSAC champion in the 200-meter dash with senior Sean Ringgold. Ringgold set the new indoor record with a 22.25 finish at the indoor PSAC Championships. He remains 0.18 seconds off the outdoor record.

Freshman Abigail Taylor took home a silver medal in the triple-jump at the indoor championships, and is looking to carry that momentum outdoors. Taylor smashed the record for the triple, hitting the mark of 11.43m. She has already hit the outdoor record during the indoor season and is expected to find herself at the top of the record board again.

Senior Donoven Cook has previous PSAC Championship experience competing last year and is determined to make it back again after a podium finish for the indoor season. Junior Rylie Mong is the only female athlete with outdoor PSAC experience heading into the year with the pole vault, and is expected to challenge for another qualifying mark.

Aliyah Serrano had a breakthrough freshman indoor campaign with fourth place finish in the 200-meter dash and seventh in the 60-meter dash. She is expected to show up throughout the record book in the sprint events.

Freshman Island Blanche and junior Skylar Brown look to squeak into PSAC qualifying this season in the sprints.

For the distance crew, a young squad is expected to find qualifiers throughout. Freshman David Wootten qualified indoor for the mile and will run the gambit of distance events through this season. Junior Carly Daniels, who was slowed with injury last year, is fully healthy getting through the cross country and indoor seasons and could sneak into a qualifying spot.

Head coach Jamal Johnson is excited about this group and is excited about the potential for a 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams for the men and women. It potentially being the first 4x100 relay for the men since 2018, and the first since 2013 for the men.

The Mounties return to action on Saturday April 2nd as they compete in the Millersville Metrics.
