In McKean County 140 inmates were incarcerated in the third quarter of 2022, a 6.7 percent decrease from the quarter before, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Andrew I. Meadows, Tylor Lee Johnson and Shawn Edward Schlopy, 20-year-olds, were the youngest inmates in McKean County in the third quarter of 2022.

Gordon D. Link was the oldest at 74-years-old.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.
