In McKean County 151 inmates were incarcerated in the second quarter of 2023, a 0.7% increase over the quarter before, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Andrew I. Meadows, Shawn Edward Schlopy, and Tylor Lee Johnson, 21-year-olds, were the youngest inmates in McKean County in the second quarter of 2023.

Gordon D. Link was the oldest at 74-years-old.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.
