6.2% of McKean County residents considered unemployed in 2021

McKean County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,153 people out of the 40,652 living in McKean County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in McKean County has decreased compared to the 6.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in McKean County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 17,500 people who had a job during that time, 12 were employed in the Armed Forces and 17,488 belonged to the civilian labor force.
