State Rep. Tina Pickett | Pennsylvania 110th Legislative District
Rep. Tina Pickett is offering a monthly outreach program at her district office in Tunkhannock to assist persons with disabilities in gaining more independence through job training, counseling, and other services. The program, in collaboration with My Center for Independent Living (MyCIL), is available on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.
MyCIL Outreach Coordinator Keith Loughney is available to meet with persons with disabilities and their families by appointment to help them access programs and resources. Representative Pickett expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "We are pleased to be able to offer this outreach program to members of the community seeking a self-sufficient lifestyle."
Individuals interested in scheduling an appointment for the program can call 570-836-4777. Walk-ins are also accepted at Pickett's office located at 133 W. Tioga St. in Tunkhannock. MyCIL, based in Scranton, offers various core services such as information and referral, skills training, peer mentoring, individual advocacy, and transition assistance.
My Center for Independent Living has been serving persons with disabilities in 10 northeastern Pennsylvania counties for the past 35 years. The collaboration between Rep. Tina Pickett and MyCIL aims to provide valuable support and resources to individuals with disabilities in the 110th Legislative District.
