Rep. Clint Owlett has been sworn in to continue representing Tioga County in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2025-26 Legislative Session. Owlett, a Republican serving Tioga and Bradford counties, expressed his commitment to addressing current issues for a better future.
“I am blessed by the opportunity to serve as a voice for our communities and our Commonwealth as we work to address the issues of today in order to build a better future for our children,” said Owlett.
One of Owlett's primary legislative goals is to implement policies aimed at maintaining creeks and streams to prevent severe flooding, similar to that caused by Tropical Storm Debby last August. "Flooding is a threat to lives and livelihoods across the district and the state," he stated. "We need to empower property owners and local government officials to do what they need to do to keep stream channels clear."
Owlett's other priorities include expanding broadband access, ensuring quality education, enacting fiscally responsible budgets, promoting economic growth, and ensuring effective government operations.
In addition, Owlett was elected secretary of the House Republican Caucus this session. This role involves recording official legislative activities in the House of Representatives and mentoring newly elected lawmakers during their first term. As part of the leadership team, he will also contribute to developing caucus strategies and agendas.
