FOIA Request to Wyoming County Election Department Regarding Upcoming Election Candidates on February 5, 2025.
In our continuous effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Northern Tier News have submitted a request for records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law.
The request, sent on February 5, 2025, specifically asks for a list of all candidates running in the upcoming election. The information sought includes the candidates' first, middle and last names; the office they are running for; jurisdiction of the office; and party affiliation of each candidate.
Additionally, we have requested all contact information for these candidates. This includes their addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
As an organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such public records is essential for us at Northern Tier News. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
