On June 16, Rep. Pickett highlighted an event that took place on Saturday afternoon at Mountaineer Park in Monroeton. The occasion was the ninth annual Northern Tier Veterans Group Appreciation Day, where veterans gathered to share food, stories, and camaraderie. During the event, “13 veterans were presented with quilts” as a gesture of appreciation for their service.
Later on the same day, Rep. Pickett attended another community event organized by the Sayre Elks Lodge #1148 members. This event was their annual Flag Day Ritual which included an informative program about the history of the United States flag. Rep. Pickett expressed her satisfaction with attending this celebration of national heritage, stating “I am happy to have attended to celebrate the history of our nation’s flag.”
The following day, on June 17, Rep. Pickett announced state funding for a housing project in Wyoming County along with Baker. She simply stated “Pickett, Baker Announce State Funding of Housing Project in Wyoming County June 16” without providing further details about the funding or project specifics.
