Notice for Pre-Canvassing/Canvassing of Votes for the November 2022 General Election

The official pre-canvassing of votes for the November 8, 2022 General Election will commence at 7:00 AM on November 8, 2022 at the Wyoming County Courthouse, Election Office, 1 Courthouse Square, Tunkhannock, PA 18657. No person observing, attending or participating in a pre-canvass meeting may disclose the results of any portion of any pre-canvass meeting prior to the close of the polls.

The official canvassing of votes for the November 8, 2022 General Election will commence at 8:00 PM on November 8, 2022 at Wyoming County Courthouse, Election Office, 1 Courthouse Square, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.

Those persons permitted to be present for the pre-canvass and canvass of votes are limited to candidates, parties, and bodies pursuant to 25 P.S. § 2650 and 25 P.S. § 3146.8 of the Pennsylvania Election Code. Every candidate may be present in-person. If unable to be present, candidates may appoint an authorized representative to attend.

Appointments of party representatives and candidate representatives can be done by completing the “Poll Watcher Certificate Request Form”. This form may be obtained by contacting the Election Bureau in advance of Election Day. After completion and approval by the Election Bureau, authorized candidate representatives and authorized party representatives will be provided a certificate for entry.

Public Notice is hereby given, that Wyoming County Computing Board will convene at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022, in the Commissioners Board Room to begin the official computation and canvassing of the votes cast from the November8, 2022 General Primary Election.

One authorized representative of each candidate in an election and one representative from each political party shall be permitted to remain in the room in which the absentee ballots and mail-in ballots are canvassed.

Public Notice is hereby given, that Wyoming County Computing Board will convene at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in the Commissioners Board Room to begin the official computation and canvassing of Military and overseas Electors votes cast from the November 8, 2022 General Primary Election.
