The Eldred Senior Center has been awarded a $73,922 grant for facility improvements, according to an announcement made by Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter).

This funding, granted through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, will be utilized for the installation of a new heat pump system, LED lighting in the lobby and all rooms, and a Hobart dishwasher.

“The Eldred Senior Center, and others like it across the region, provide valuable support services, such as nutritious meals and educational programs, as well as social opportunities for our older residents,” Causer stated. “This grant is a worthwhile investment that will allow the Eldred Senior Center to continue its good work of serving and supporting area seniors.”

The Eldred center was one among 45 senior centers statewide that received funding through this competitive grant program. The grants are funded using proceeds from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
