Rep. Clint Owlett, a Republican representing Tioga and Bradford counties, has been sworn in to continue his role in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2025-26 Legislative Session. Owlett expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve his community and emphasized his commitment to addressing current issues for a better future.
“I am blessed by the opportunity to serve as a voice for our communities and our Commonwealth as we work to address the issues of today in order to build a better future for our children,” Owlett stated.
A key focus for Owlett is implementing policies aimed at maintaining creeks and streams to prevent flooding disasters like those caused by Tropical Storm Debby last August. He stressed the importance of empowering property owners and local officials in this effort.
“Flooding is a threat to lives and livelihoods across the district and the state,” he said. “We need to empower property owners and local government officials to do what they need to do to keep stream channels clear.”
Owlett's ongoing priorities include promoting broadband expansion, ensuring quality education, enacting fiscally responsible budgets, encouraging economic growth, and ensuring effective government operations.
In addition, Owlett was elected secretary of the House Republican Caucus. This role involves recording legislative activities in the House of Representatives and mentoring newly elected lawmakers. As part of the leadership team, he will contribute to developing caucus strategy and agenda.
