Fire and emergency services in Cameron, McKean, and Potter counties have been granted over $527,000 by the state. This announcement was made by Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter).

“With fire and EMS companies struggling to keep their doors open, these grants go a long way toward helping to meet their financial needs,” Causer stated. “We owe a great debt of gratitude to the men and women who work so hard to protect our communities, and I am pleased we can continue to support them with this valuable funding.”

The funds are part of an ongoing grant initiative established by the Legislature, managed by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). Since its start, more than $9.2 million has been distributed to fire and ambulance services in these counties.

Eligible projects for funding include building or renovating facilities, purchasing or repairing equipment, training, or reducing existing debts. All applicants that meet OSFC requirements receive funding after filing a grant agreement.
